What we collect
Nothing. Glow has no user accounts and includes no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not build a profile of you and we have no servers that receive your data.
Your photos & camera
- Photos you pick, and any photo you take with the camera, are processed entirely on your device. They are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
- All features — adjustments, filters, background removal, retouch, reshaping, upscaling, face effects — run locally using your device’s own capabilities.
- Photo-library and camera access are requested only when you use a feature that needs them, and are used solely to let you import and save your own images.
- An edited image is saved to your photo library only when you choose to export it.
Face & biometric data
Some Glow features — portrait retouch, reshaping, and face effects — need to locate the face in your photo. Glow does this entirely on your device using your operating system’s built-in on-device vision capabilities (e.g. Apple’s Vision framework) and, where applicable, on-device models bundled inside the app. Glow detects the position of facial features only to apply the edit you choose. Glow does not create a faceprint or biometric identifier, does not recognize or identify you, and does not use face data for any other purpose.
This face data exists only in memory during your editing session; it is never saved by Glow, never uploaded, and never shared, and it is discarded when you finish or close the app. Glow has no servers and makes no network connections, so your photos and face data never leave your device. The only thing saved is the final edited image, and only when you choose to export it to your own photo library (which you can delete anytime in Photos). Because Glow stores no face data, there is nothing for us to retain, share, or delete on your behalf.
Subscriptions & payments
Glow offers an optional auto-renewable subscription. Purchases are handled entirely by the Apple App Store under your Apple ID — we never see or store your payment details. Your subscription status is verified on-device with the App Store. Manage or cancel anytime in your device’s Settings; billing terms are shown before you buy.
Information stored on your device
Glow keeps only small preferences on your device (such as your chosen language and a cached subscription status). This never leaves your device and is not personal information. Your original photo and edits exist only in memory during an editing session unless you export.
Third parties & AI
Glow bundles no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking services, and uses no third-party or cloud AI. The features we describe as “AI” or “AI-assisted” — portrait retouch, background removal, face effects, and HD upscale — run entirely on your device using your operating system’s built-in on-device vision capabilities (e.g. Apple’s Vision framework) and a first-party machine-learning model bundled inside the app. No photo, face data, or any personal information is ever sent to any AI service, server, or third party; Glow makes no network connections.
Children
Glow is a general-audience app and collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the date above.
